                                                          PACER BASKETBALL

Head Coach:  Robb Mills   (third year)   48-19 career record

Coach Mills is a graduate of Altus High School (1997) where he played football, basketball and baseball.  He graduated from Oklahoma State University and has a Master’s of Education Leadership from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  Coach Mills began teaching biology at Enid High school in 2003 and has been a part of many athletic programs.  He was a Pacer basketball assistant for nine years before becoming head coach in 2011.  He is 33-14 as the head coach of the Pacers.

Mills is married to his wife, Carrie and they have two children, Brody 5 and Macy 1.

Assistant Coaches:   Kevin Miller and David Lee

Record:   18-6 (final)                          Last season 17-6     First season 16-8

The Enid High School Pacers are coming off a 17-6 year and a disappointing loss in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight season under head coach Robb Mills.

The Plainsmen have a solid group of players returning with seniors Abby Lee, Grace Enmeier and Shelley Mueller, junior Haven Bay and sophomore Andi Pierce.  Plus, add-in junior McKenna James and sophomores Kylee Vestal and Savannah Blasi.  The Pacers can go eight or nine deep this season.

Keys to the season…

develop leadership and identity

play smart and value the basketball

defend and rebound

This could be an exciting season for Pacer basketball.  The Pacers lost Courtney Chelf (OSU) who will be hard to replace but if the Pacers can find their identity, play smart and defend, they can have an outstanding season and get past the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.

Assistant Coaches:   Carl Gaebler and Cody Lack

Record:   2-22 (final)                          Last season 9-14     First season 9-14

The Enid High School Plainsmen are coming off back-to-back 9-14 seasons and have not advanced past the first round of the Class 6A playoffs since

The Plainsmen have a solid group returning with seniors Michael Majors (6’7”), Marcus Moore, Raeshaan Finley and Randy Porter providing leadership.  Plus, add-in players like Devon Edwards, Braden Rogers, Donovan Kuhlman and Devin Pratt and you have a solid seven or eight player rotation.

Keys to the season:

          Develop leadership and an identity

Play smart and value the basketball

          Defend and rebound

This could be an exciting season for the Plainsmen basketball.  Enid has size and experience but will have to play well and stay consistent against a tough schedule.  The Plainsmen will try to get a win in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.
